Abstract
This application is for the continued use of Project Berzelius-2025-239 (WASP-NEST-AIR2), which is a part of the WASP-NEST initiative titled “AI for Attack Identification, Response, and Recovery” (https://wasp-sweden.org/nest-project-air2/ ), one of the large Network, Excellence Synergies and Teams research projects funded by WASP (https://wasp-sweden.org). Also, this application includes other WASP funded PhD students and postdocs at Umeå.
As explained in more detail on the above website, our project focuses on addressing fundamental cybersecurity challenges in both AI and communication systems. A core part of this endeavour involves the collection and processing of a large amount of computer systems data from cloud-edge continuum and 5G testbed, for which we would like to seek GPU and storage resources in this joint application. However, this application is also part of the other WASP-funded projects.
The project is coordinated by Prof. Simin-Nadjm Tehrani, Linköping University, in collaboration with co-PIs Prof. Rolf Stadler, Assoc. Prof. Monowar Bhuyan (Umeå) and Assoc. Prof. Jendrik Seipp (Linköping). The project, in particular, also employs multiple PhD students (1 KTH, 1 Umeå) and postdocs (1 Umeå and 1 Linköping). In addition, Umea has three PhD students and one postdoc working on the project WASP funded projects. These members will be the primary users of the requested GPU resources.
