Abstract
We will explore magnetic interactions in a class of quasi-twodimensional magnetic insulators. We will use novel software packages such as TB2J. To this end, we will calculate exchange interactions based on Wannier functions. The goal of the project is to extract and predict magnetic configurations as a function of temperature. This will allow us to understand and describe the magnetic structure of these materials as a function of temperature. These materials feature complex antiferromagnetic orderings and noncollinear configurations.
