Abstract

We are developing software (MrBayes, RevBayes and TreePPL) for Bayesian MCMC inference of problems in phylogenetics and evolutionary biology, and we are using this software for empirical analyses. We are also bench-marking our software against other software for statistical phylogenomic analyses or inference based on probabilistic programming languages, and this software is used for large-scale phylogenomic analyses. The latter, in particular, require the management of large data sets. We are currently using about 1500 GiB of storage for the result files we handle. Some of these files can now be deleted but we nevertheless expect the storage that we use during analyses to expand to about 2000 GiB during the coming period, while analyses are being run and before studies are finalized.
