Abstract
This project focuses on five key challenges related to overcoming the scaling bottleneck of robotic manipulation and to develop robust data-driven robotic manipulation methodologies
that benefit from the cloud robotics paradigm and network effects of scale.
We propose to pioneer the first large-scale cloud robotics manipulation demonstrator platform which we call Robot-Rack and which will feature at least 100 small robotic arms deployed in a rack-mounted configuration of multiple robots per rack similar to servers in a data center to be hosted both at KTH and Lund University and connected to remote cloud computing resources and a small a number of ABB Yumi robots.
