Abstract

With cryo-EM, we have recently managed to get a high resolution (2.7Å) structure of PSII from higher plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Now we want to obtain structures from the PSII in which three important structural proteins linking the light absorbing antennae to the reaction center. The aim is to investigate whether this affects the stability and structure of the PSII complex and if this mechanism can protect against strong injurious light.
