Abstract
This project aims to investigate the High-order Harmonic generation (HHG) process from intense laser plasma interaction. Generation of high-order harmonics, when a laser irradiates a plasma target, allows the possibility of having a compact source of coherent XUV or soft X-ray light pulse of attosecond duration. The generated bright ultrashort pulses from HHG process have multiple applications ranging from studying warm-densematter, non-destructive inspection techniques and capturing the ultra-fast physical or biological processes by serving as the fastest cameras. This shall be done in collaboration with experimental group the Relativistic Attosecond Physics Laboratory, Umeå University.
