Abstract
The proposal consists of the following two research parts:
Part 1: Optimization of Stockholm TMA in 4d scale
Part 2: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Traffic Management (UTM)
Part 1 is a continuation of our previous project Optimization of Stockholm TMA in 4dscale (SNIC 2019/3-34), a collaborative project LIU+LFV (Luftfartsverket), in which we work on optimization of the aircraft arrival routes within Stockholm airspace. The problem is formulated as a Mixed-Integer program (MIP) and is implemented using Python and Gurobi solver.
Part 2 of the project consists of several different projects (both Swedish- and European-funded) in which we work on developing a body of research to support establishing an efficient UTM system for future dense urban unmanned traffic. We have already successfully used Tetralith in PBN4UTM for several research publications (as was mentioned in the report for the previous project SNIC 2020/5-26) and continued access to the computational resources will allow us to do experiments for future publications.
