Abstract

Inferring GRNs has proven to be a difficult task for several reasons. Whereas some TFs act as on/off switches, others exhibit a dosage-dependent regulation on the target gene (add references). It is also often the case that a target gene transcription is controlled by the interplay of several TFs, involving non-linear multivariate models. In this study we leverage the interdependency that exists between the regulation of TF activity and chromatin remodeling in order to predict TFs regulatory mode. It is shown that chromatin time-series add independent information from mRNA measurements and improves the accuracy of the predictions.
