Abstract

In our projects, we collaborate in highly interdisciplinary teams that have the necessary understanding of experimental technologies and ability to formulate pertinent medical questions, and we contribute competence to develop probabilistic models, design machine learning algorithms, implement them on a wide range of HPC hardware and frameworks, and apply them. This pipeline is, in reality, iterated in a circular fashion. Aside from devising computational methods, we also apply our methods to data generated in collaborative projects as well as collaborate with other cutting-edge single cell groups. A single Ph.D. student has been using 40 000, 58 000, 15 00 core hours on Bianca the last months as well as other projects. Several group members are reaching the testing stage of their project, new project members are currently recruited (in addition to me the group will soon contain 5 Ph.D. students and 4 postdocs), and we are beginning to generate hour own data.
