Abstract

This work is part of an ongoing interdisciplinary research project (Biology, Mathematics) with focus on quantitative and theoretical biology aspects of nutrient recycling and LCA. As a key component, challenging combinatorial optimization problems arise and must be solved, and these problems have proven to be very time-consuming and to require a lot of computing power.
