Abstract
The aim of the project is two-fold:
1. Study a minimal model of the interaction between localized electrons and dispersive electrons in a material. The aim is to understand the decoherence of the quantum mechanical many-body state of localized electrons caused by the scattering of the dispersive electrons. This will be part of a physics project work (kandidatarbete i fysik).
2. Learn how to simulate different spectroscopic measurements for small but realistic material dependent models. This will be part the theoretical training of a first year PhD student. Once the PhD student has learnt the basic steps he will be transfered to a larger SNIC project for production calculations.
