Abstract

We propose to utilize SNIC resources to run the Fermi-LAT analysis toolkit created by NASA and the Fermi-LAT Collaboration (https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/software/). We will utilize custom-produced analysis routines (previously developed in https://arxiv.org/abs/1503.06209 and https://arxiv.org/abs/1905.11992) to analyze the Fermi-LAT dataset and produce likelihood-functions for the dark matter flux from a population of dwarf spheroidal galaxies. We expect the results of our analysis to produce either the strongest constraints on dark matter annihilation in dwarf spheroidal galaxies, or alternatively to provide evidence for a potential dark matter signal.
