Abstract

The climate-related biogeochemical modelling group at ITm, Stockholm University will run JSBACH which is the land surface scheme of the MPI-ESM in order to investigate research questions related to the response of terrestrial ecosystems to environmental change. One focus will be in permafrost areas in high latitudes, e.g. interactions between climate, surface vegetation and permafrost conditions. Another aspect will be future soil and vegetation carbon dynamics in these regions.
